Carlos Alexander Gonçalves established Lusiad Gourmet in the fall of 2009 with the vision of opening an exceptional online gourmet market specializing in fine foods of Spain & Portugal. His passion started early on while helping his mother and grandmother in the kitchen, both in the US and Portugal. Those experiences helped Carlos develop his desire and skills to always enjoy providing his friends and family with memorable food experiences in all types of cuisines. Many trips to Portugal and Spain over the years have helped to nourish his love of food and culture from the two countries in the Iberian Peninsula.
